Anna Celesta

Anna Celesta’s career spans experiences in band administration, policy development, board training, public and private fund raising, financial administration as well as First Nations governance structures and systems. She is knowledgeable about the Canadian legal system from constitutional matters and their effect on Aboriginal peoples, business management including contracting and the Indian Act. Ms. Celesta has been employed in a number of sectors including First Nations governments and organizations, health and social development, publications, video production, and sales management. During her career she managed a staff of 40 and oversaw the Human Resource Department of a multi faceted organization. Anna believes in life-long learning and has continued to up-grade her skills since successfully completing a program in business management. Ms. Celesta was employed as the senior administrator for Satsan (Herb George) during his two terms as Assembly of First Nations Regional Chief for British Columbia. She also served as program coordinator/business administrator in the initial stages of development for the National Centre for First Nations Governance. Anna is a member of the Simpcw First Nation, part of the Shuswap Nation and a proud mother of one son.
